Splints & Nightguards

Nightguards are an excellent way to protect the teeth and occlusion from night time grinding and abnormal forces. Splints and Orthotics can be used to bring the condyle into a more normal position, provide normal neuromuscular balance and relieve pain.

SOFT NIGHTGUARD #6131

Nightguard worn on the upper or the lower arch. It is made out of a soft material much like a Sports Mouthguard. It is very comfortable to wear and is good for patients that cannot tolerate hard acrylic. Only minor adjustments can be done, and it is not as durable as a hard acrylic splint.

HARD ACRYLIC BRUXISM NIGHTGUARD #6192

All hard acrylic nightguard worn on the upper or the lower arch to protect the teeth at night from grinding and excess wear. It is a great way to protect restorations from damage. The hard acrylic will last much longer than the Soft Nightguard. Adjustments can be made to this splint as needed.

HARD / SOFT BRUXISM NIGHTGUARD #6197

Nightguard with a soft liner and a hard acrylic shell. This splint provides the comfort of the Soft Nightguard with the adjustability and durability of a Hard Acrylic Nightguard. It can be worn on the upper or the lower arch. Good undercuts are needed for retention.

TALON SPLINT #6197

Hard Acrylic Nightguard with internal Thermal Acrylic. It can be worn on the upper or the lower arch. When the Thermal Acrylic is heated under hot tap water, it becomes soft so it can be easily inserted. As it cools down, it becomes harder and locks in for good retention. This Splint is thinner than the Hard / Soft Nightguard.

ANTERIOR DEPROGRAMMER #6180

This maxillary splint has a flat lingual bite plane/platform. The patient’s lower anteriors are the only teeth that touch the splint. The mandible can slide around and find a proper position and prevent wear on the teeth from grinding. There is no posterior contact with the splint.
